After the first four weeks of the 2018 NFL season, which five moments have stood out from the rest as the most significant for the Minnesota Vikings?

Heading into the 2018 season, many felt that the Minnesota Vikings were capable of winning more than one of their first four games. Yet, here they sit with just one victory after the first four weeks of the year.

And they even have a tie (hooray…).

After their Week 1 win over the San Francisco 49ers, the Vikings looked like they picked up right where they left off in the 2017 regular season. Playing smart football and following the lead of their talented defense.

Then Week 2 came along and Minnesota found themselves down a bunch late in their matchup with the rival Green Bay Packers. But thanks to their new and improved passing offense, the Vikings were able to make an exciting comeback and send the game to overtime where they eventually settled for a tie.

For the past two weeks, however, Minnesota has been on the losing side of the scoreboard. One was predicted as a possibility while they other came as a complete shock to just about everyone.

So after four games, the Vikings are sitting with a record of 1-2-1. Clearly not the start Minnesota was hoping for, but still a record that keeps their chances for a playoff spot alive at the end of the season.

Like this year, the Vikings actually began the 2017 season by losing two of their first four games. All Minnesota did after that was win 11 of their final 12 matchups and finish atop the NFC North.

Actually, the last two times the Vikings won the NFC North (2017 and 2015), they began their year with two losses in their first four games.

So Minnesota’s season is definitely far from over. Especially since the Vikings are heading into a stretch of matchups over the next five weeks in which they face only one team who currently has a winning record (the New Orleans Saints in Week 8).

Looking back at the games Minnesota has actually already played this season, each of them have featured a number of memorable moments. Some good and, unfortunately, some bad.

But let’s keep things optimistic and take a look at the five best moments from the Vikings’ first quarter of the 2018 season.
