Honorable Mention No. 2

Stefon Diggs, WR

Another Viking who got “paid” and has delivered this year is none other than the fifth-round pick from the University of Maryland, Stefon Diggs.

Diggs and fellow wideout Adam Thielen have given the Minnesota Vikings’ a tandem impact they have not had since Randy Moss and Chris Carter played for the purple-and-gold. Though Diggs’ numbers are not as gaudy as Theilen’s, they are still impressive.  Considering the Vikings’ suffer a running game without gas in its tank, all the more impressive.

Following in the footsteps of a great player like Steelers’ irreplaceable receiver, Antonio Brown, Diggs has gotten better every year as a Viking and has shown fans and opponents that he will continue to grow as an offensive technician and a receiving threat.

Under the most pressure possible, on a do-or-die 2-point conversion against the rival Green Bay Packers’ in Lambeau Field, Diggs’ came up with this little number to tie the game in Week 2.

Viking fans will be replaying that six seconds for decades.

In a season where we may have not even seen his best, Diggs’ is on pace for 108 catches, 1244 yards, and 12 touchdowns. If Diggs’ can stay healthy and play 16 games, he may very well join his colleague not only in the NFL Pro Bowl, but also find himself in the running for All-Pro status.

Not bad for a Terrapin.
