4 players the Minnesota Vikings should consider trading
By Adam Patrick
The NFL trade deadline is not until the end of October, but the Minnesota Vikings should already be starting to think of a few players to send elsewhere.
Four weeks into the 2018 NFL season, it’s still difficult to predict how the rest of the year will turn out for the Minnesota Vikings.
Currently, the Vikings are sitting with a record of 1-2-1, but they still has plenty of time to point their season back in the right direction and remain in the hunt for a championship.
So far this year, a number of players on the Vikings’ roster are off to impressive starts. Kirk Cousins ranks third in the league in passing yards, Adam Thielen has the second-most catches and receiving yards in the entire NFL, and Danielle Hunter’s four sacks this year are the fourth-most in the NFC.
Still, Minnesota has a bunch of areas to improve in before a spot in the playoffs becomes a serious possibility once again. One way the Vikings could go about helping increase their chance for success this season would be to make a few changes to their current roster.
The league’s trade deadline is coming up at the end of the month (Tuesday, October 30) and Minnesota seems like a good candidate to make an exchange or two this year. Even if the Vikings are only able to receive draft picks in exchange for one of their players, it still helps them out in the near future.
If Minnesota does end up making a deal or two before the deadline this season, don’t expect it to involve a huge name. The majority of the Vikings’ most talented players right now are currently in the middle of multi-year deals that most other teams are not going to want to acquire.
But of the personnel currently inside Minnesota’s locker room, which four should the team consider trading before the deadline at the end of the month?
