4 players the Minnesota Vikings should consider trading

Sendejo hasn’t been awful this season for the Vikings. But his current contract is team friendly and Minnesota should consider trading the safety if a team expresses interest in a deal over the next few weeks.

The Vikings also have the depth to make up for letting go of Sendejo. Minnesota added veteran safety George Illoka this year and he should be able to fill in just fine on defense if Sendejo ends up being dealt.
While Sendejo does have a bunch of experience in the Vikings’ defense, he can also be a bit of a liability at times. In 2017, his nine missed tackles were the second-most of any Minnesota defender and he also allowed his coverage to average 16.4 yards per catch.
Sendejo’s habit of head-hunting opposing receivers is also something the Vikings have to worry about with their safety. Minnesota has already committed a bunch of costly penalties this season and Sendejo always has a chance to add to that total each week.
With his current contract situation and there being a satisfying amount of depth behind him, the Vikings trading Sendejo before the end of the month is certainly a believable possibility.
