The 1-2-1 record for the Minnesota Vikings isn’t what many expected, but there are plenty of things (good and bad) we know about this team after the first four games.

The Minnesota Vikings have reached a gut check moment after the first quarter of the 2018 season. After a year where seemingly everything went right, the Vikings have faced plenty of adversity in their first four games.

Aside from going 1-2-1 in their first four games, the Vikings have also endured the loss of their offensive line coach, the release (and downward spiral) of several defensive leaders, a kicker meltdown, an embarrassing loss to the Buffalo Bills and a defense that has gone completely off the rails.

While all of that is enough to get the most optimistic Vikings fan to proclaim that Valhalla is burning, there are some things that have also spurned some optimism heading into the final 12 games of the schedule. With this, here’s a look at what we know about this team and what it could mean for this team’s fate toward the end of the season.
