After a few extra days off, the Minnesota Vikings will attempt to end their losing skid this week when they head to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles.

Heading into the 2017 NFC Championship against the Philadelphia Eagles, everything seemed to be pointing toward a win for the Minnesota Vikings.

Despite the game being on the road, oddsmakers still even selected the Vikings as the favorite. The Eagles were without their starting quarterback and Minnesota was coming off a miracle win that seemed to indicate that winning a championship was their destiny.

But that’s not how things turned out.

The Vikings did go down on their first offensive drive of the game and score a touchdown. Following that score though, Philadelphia went on to score 38 unanswered points and got an easy win over Minnesota.

To make it even worse, the Eagles went on to win the Super Bowl on the Vikings’ home field inside U.S. Bank Stadium.

Fast forward to their rematch this Sunday and both teams are heading into the game in need of a win. Minnesota is currently sitting with a 1-2-1 record while Philadelphia is 2-2.

Even though it wasn’t that long ago, a lot has changed since the last time these two teams met.

Each squad will have a different starting quarterback than who they had under center in the NFC Championship, John DeFilippo left the Eagles to join the Vikings’ coaching staff during the offseason, and Philadelphia’s fans have actually calmed down.

Just kidding about that last point actually, Eagles fans are still just as trashy as they were during last season’s NFC Championship (they’ve moved on destroying statues in their own city this year).

Sunday’s game should be full of excitement though and hopefully a win for Minnesota. When tuning in or watching from the stands this weekend, what are four things to expect from the Vikings’ showdown in Philadelphia?
