The Good stuff vs Eagles

  1. A quick pace. The Vikings opened the game with a drive where they kept the Eagles on their toes, throwing the ball well and actually gaining some decent yardage on the ground. If they can continue to move the ball, they will do well.
  2. Watch the big fella go! Watching Linval Joseph return that fumble 64 yards for a score was amazing and it was even more fun to see that be his first touchdown in his career. Always good to see big guys with the football!
  3. Adam Thielen is an absolute monster. Never mind that he doesn’t have the size of Julio Jones or the speed of Tyreek Hill, Adam Thielen runs some of the best routes, has great concentration, and catches everything thrown his way. He caught 7 of the 10 throws tossed his way for 116 yards and 1 touchdown.
  4. Pressure from the ends. Weatherly and Hunter both had great days getting to Carson Wentz, pressuring him into tough throws, causing sacks, and even getting the ball out of his hands thanks to hits on the quarterback. Minnesota may be without Everson Griffen, but they definitely have the talent.
  5. Incredible quarterback play. While the offensive line played a little better today, that doesn’t mean Kirk Cousins had a lot of time in the pocket. That said, he still found a way to complete 30 of his 37 pass attempts for 301 yards and 1 touchdown against a tough Eagles defense.
