Vikings come out firing immediately

To avoid the outcome of their last home game (a loss to the Bills), the Vikings’ offense is going to go at the Cardinals like they are the best team in the NFL on Sunday.

Much like their win over the Eagles last week, Minnesota will call more pass plays that have Kirk Cousins getting the ball out quickly and into the hands of the team’s top playmakers on offense. It was a tactic that worked last Sunday against a talented Philadelphia defense, so there is no reason why a similar strategy shouldn’t work this week versus Arizona.

The Vikings’ defense will make an impact early as well on Sunday, forcing a turnover on at least one of the Cardinals’ first two offensive drives of the afternoon.

By the end of the first quarter, Minnesota should have at least 14 points already up on the scoreboard. This will put to rest any thoughts Arizona had of coming into the Twin Cities and pulling off the upset.
