NFL experts have chimed in on how they expect the Minnesota Vikings to perform at home against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6 of the 2018 NFL season.

The Minnesota Vikings host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6 as the team hopes to have their first winning record since Week 1 of the season. Not only that, but a win inches them closer to the to top of the NFC North and a return to the playoffs.

However, this has been an unpredictable season for Minnesota. They can beat the Eagles, keep pace with the Rams, but then get blown out by the Bills and fight to a tie against the Packers. It seems like anything can happen.

Is this Vikings team a contender or a pretender? Well, at least for Week 6, the experts seem to agree that Minnesota is back on the right track. Here are the picks for the game against the Cardinals!

Picking the Minnesota Vikings

  • CBS Sports – Pete Prisco, Will Brinson, Jared Dubin, Ryan Wilson, John Breech, Dave Richard, Jamey Eisenberg
  • ESPN – Bowen, Clay, Golic, Graziano, Kimes, Qerim, Riddick, Siefert, Wickersham, Wingo
  • SBNation – Stephen White, Geoff Schwartz, Charles McDonald, Adam Stites, Christian D’Andrea, Levi Damien
  • USA Today – Jarrett Bell (33-20), Nate Davis (33-10), Mike Jones (35-18), Mike Middlehurst-Schwartz (31-16), Lorenzo Reyes (28-21)
  • Bleacher Report – Consensus: “Are the Minnesota Vikings figuring it out?” (Score prediction: 30-13)
  • CBS Sports – Pete Prisco: “Minnesota got back on track against the Eagles last week, but I think the Cardinals will be able to keep this one closer than expected.” (Score prediction: 23-20)
  • FanSided – Matt Verderame: “Minnesota (2-2-1) has already lost a home game against one of the worst teams in the league, giving it ample reason to avoid that trap again.” (Score prediction: 27-14)
  • NFL.com – Elliot Harrison: “Super excited about the Cardinals’ one-game winning streak. Really great for them, because it ends this week.” (Score prediction: 30-14)
  • NFL Spin Zone – Gil Alcaraz IV: “Look for the Vikings to get going early, putting pressure on Rosen and delivering on early opportunities on offense.” (Score prediction: 28-17)
  • Pro Football Talk – Mike Florio: “The Vikings have underachieved at home this year. As they enter a softer spot of the schedule, they can’t continue to screw around with inferior teams.” (Score prediction: 31-17)
  • Pro Football Talk – Michael David Smith: “The Cardinals finally got a win, but they still may be the worst top-to-bottom team in the NFL.” (Score prediction: 20-10)
  • Sporting News – Vinnie Iyer: “Minnesota’s defense got its groove back in Philadelphia, and offensively, Kirk Cousins will stay hot with a little more help from the running game.” (Score prediction: 27-13)
  • Sporting News – David Steele: “On paper, the Vikings are still the class of the NFC North, but they need to start proving it.” (Score prediction 24-20)

It’s easy to see why experts would like the Vikings this week. They’re at home, they just beat the World Champs, and they are looking like the Vikings of old. While there are still questions as to whether or not Minnesota can do this consistently, it would be a bit shocking to see Minnesota crumble against the Cardinals this week.

This is not only the most popular pick but the smart one as well.

Picking the Arizona Cardinals

This week, LaCanfora is the cheese because he stands alone. Picking Arizona might seem like a complete shot in the dark, but after seeing Buffalo manhandle Minnesota at U.S. Bank Stadium, it’s understandable why he might not think the Vikings have this one under control.

That’s a bold strategy, Jason…let’s see if it pays off for him.

This is a game the Minnesota Vikings should control from kickoff, but fans said the same thing about the Bills game in Week 3. No matter what, it’s good to see so many experts having faith in the purple and gold to get a win!
