Overall Impression vs Cardinals

Let’s be honest. The Minnesota Vikings should have beaten the snot out of the Cardinals this week. Then again, the boys in purple and gold haven’t shown to be able to beat teams they know they should.

Thankfully, that ended on Sunday when they only allowed one offensive touchdown by the Cardinals and were assisted by an offense where Latavius Murray carried the load with help from Adam Thielen to keep Arizona playing catchup throughout the game.

Even though Kirk Cousins was under constant pressure, especially from the left side of his offensive line, he did a great job finding open receivers and making some tough throws. He did have two turnovers, one fumble and one interception, but he still did a good job when he had time and open receivers.

Defensively, Mike Hughes and Anthony Barr did a great job while George Iloka did an excellent job filling in for the injured Andrew Sendejo during this game. But the real story was Danielle Hunter, who continues to be a wrecking ball of a defensive end by getting sacks and pressures.

This was a full team win right here, looking like the defense of old along with establishing a run game for the first time this season. And that’s a good thing because there are some really tough games coming up on the schedule.
