1. Adam Thielen (No change)

After what Thielen did on the football field in Week 6, there is absolutely no possible way that he loses his grip on the top spot in the player rankings. And honestly, it doesn’t look like he may ever let it go.

The wide receiver put on a show on Sunday, hauling in 11 of his 15 targets from quarterback Kirk Cousins for 123 yards and one touchdown, including an unbelievable catch near the sidelines where he put his body on the line.

Thielen is now the only pass catcher in the league to have over 100 receiving yards in each of his first 6 games of the season and has moved up to 12th on the list of all-time receiving yards for the Minnesota Vikings, as well as leading the league in yards this season.

Fans knew Thielen was a great route runner with amazing hands. However, he has really pieced his entire game together to become one of the most complete pass catchers in the NFL.

Just outside the top 10

  • Dalvin Cook – He was supposed to return on Sunday but ended up being a scratch. When he does return, it probably won’t take him long to make his way up the list.
  • Brian O’Neill – A rare sighting for an offensive lineman to be praised in the player rankings, but O’Neill has done a great job filling in for injured players and might be the Vikings best offensive lineman right now.
  • Eric Kendricks – There is no denying that Kendricks is a tackling machine who is capable in coverage as well. He’s a solid part of the defense and is knocking on the door of returning to the player rankings.
  • Latavius Murray – He gained 155 yards on the ground against the Cardinals, proving that Minnesota may actually be able to run the ball in the future. Plus, did you see that wicked stiff arm?!?

Next. Ups and Downs from Week 6 vs Arizona. dark

Next week, the Minnesota Vikings hit the road to take on the New York Jets. Coming off back-to-back wins, the team will need to play well and focus to make it three in a row. Of course, the player rankings will be back as well to shine some light on those player performances.
