Will the Minnesota Vikings be able to increase their winning streak to three on Sunday by getting a road victory over the New York Jets for the first time ever?

Following a bit of a perplexing start, the Minnesota Vikings seem to have their season back on track after coming out with wins in their last two matchups. This week, the Vikings will look to make it three victories in a row when they head out on the road to take on the New York Jets.

Minnesota has actually never defeated the Jets on the road before. The Vikings won the last meeting between the two teams in 2014, but that victory came in the Twin Cities.

In 10 all-time matchups with New York since 1970, Minnesota has only come away with two wins. So this has not really been a favorable series for the Vikings during their existence.

But Sunday’s game should be different. Minnesota’s defense is close to the elite form they had in 2017 and they will be facing a Jets team led by a rookie quarterback.

On the offensive side of the ball for the Vikings, they will be going up against a Jets defense that has allowed over 420 total yards to their opponents in each of their last three matchups.

If Minnesota is able to play smart and not give up any costly turnovers on their own end of the field, then they should be leaving the stadium on Sunday with their third-straight win. When the time comes for the Vikings to actually take on New York this week, what are four things to expect from the matchup?
