The Minnesota Vikings entered Week 7 of the 2018 NFL season looking to rise to the top of the NFC North. Thanks to a bye week for the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears taking on the New England, there was a chance the purple and gold can climb to the top of the division.
Standing in the way of the Vikings on Sunday, Oct. 21 was the New York Jets. Hosting the game in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the Jets had accumulated back-to-back wins and were hoping to get their third in a row against Minnesota.
The Vikings emerged from enemy territory with a 37-17 win, bringing them to the top of the NFC North for the time being thanks to a Bears loss and Vikings win. Now, they will hope to hold on to that spot in Week 8 when they host the Saints.
