Overall impression from Week 7

The Minnesota Vikings continued to be strong on third downs and carried over some strong running performances despite struggling in the passing game and the kicking game due to some intense winds and subpar blocking from the blind side.

The good news is that Brett Jones did a great job filling in at left guard when Tom Compton went down, however, the real noticeable thing was how Brian O’Neill was able to hold his own at right tackle for a majority of the game.

Other offensive notables are Adam Thielen turning in another great performance and Latavius Murray finding paydirt twice in addition to Aldrick Robinson continuing to make plays when his number is called.

Defensively, three interceptions definitely helped to turn the tide of this contest and the run defense did a solid job even without Linval Joseph in the middle to plug the holes. For a squad who needed to rely on a lot of backups, they help off a capable group.

For a team that was only 3 point favorites, walking out with a 20 point win on the road feels pretty nice and should keep the momentum going into Week 8.
