What did we learn about the Minnesota Vikings after they were able to go on the road and beat the New York Jets without much trouble on Sunday?

In the span of about a month, the outlook for the Minnesota Vikings in 2018 has gone from the sky is falling to the team now being in first place in the NFC North.

After an embarrassing loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 3 and then a defensive dismantling at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4, the Vikings’ 2018 season was quickly packed full of questions. But since that tough loss to the Rams, Minnesota has won three straight games, including two on the road.

Through seven weeks, the Vikings have a 4-2-1 record and are atop the NFC North for the first time since Week 2. Minnesota still has plenty of matchups remaining in 2018, but they appear to have fixed whatever was impeding their success during the early part of the season.

In Sunday’s victory over the New York Jets, the Vikings displayed a lot of the tactics that led them to 13 wins a year ago. Minnesota combined solid production from their rushing offense and the excellence of Adam Thielen with an impressive effort from their defense.

Each Vikings game has told a different story this season and Sunday was no different. What were the top three takeaways from Minnesota’s Week 7 win over the Jets?
