Vikings hold Kamara and Ingram in check

They’re not producing the types of numbers they had last season, but Saints running backs Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram are still a duo that keeps opposing defenses up at night.

Kamara leads all New Orleans players this year with seven total touchdowns and his 40 catches are also the second-most on the roster. Despite only playing in two games this season, Ingram has already found the end zone twice.

The Vikings have one of the best rushing defenses in the NFL and they have done pretty well against the Saints’ two-headed running back monster in their last two meetings. In two games against Minnesota last season, neither Kamara or Ingram ended up with more than 43 rushing yards.

Preventing these two from hurting them as receivers will be a big key for the Vikings on Sunday as well. It will be a tough task, but Minnesota’s defense has shown they are capable recently as their opponents have averaged less than 250 passing yards over the last three weeks.

The Vikings’ recent success against the run and the pass will continue on Sunday when they prevent Kamara and Ingram from making a difference.
