Will the Minnesota Vikings be able to come away with a win over the Detroit Lions for the first time ever inside U.S. Bank Stadium?

For the first time since Week 5, the Minnesota Vikings are coming off a loss. The Vikings lost to the New Orleans Saints last Sunday in a game that seemed like it could have turned out much differently.

This week, Minnesota will attempt to get back on track in a divisional matchup against the Detroit Lions

The game will be taking place on the Vikings’ home field inside U.S. Bank Stadium. However, the Lions have yet to lose inside Minnesota’s new home since it opened in 2016.

This year’s Detroit team will look a little different than the versions the Vikings have faced in the recent past. The Lions have a first-year head coach in Matt Patricia and they just decided to trade Golden Tate, their leading receiver, to the Philadelphia Eagles.

However, Detroit still has a number of talented players on both sides of the ball including quarterback Matthew Stafford, who has a career 89.2 QB rating against Minnesota.

The last four matchups between the Vikings and Lions have been decided by an average margin of 5.75 points, so Sunday’s game is likely going to have a similar outcome. When they do eventually take the field, what are four things to expect from Minnesota during this week’s divisional showdown?
