What did we learn about the Minnesota Vikings after their crucial NFC North victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday?

From their opening drive that resulted in a touchdown, a victory for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday over the Detroit Lions never really seemed to be in doubt.

Did it have to do with the Lions not being the most dangerous opponent in the world? A little, yes. But the Vikings still came to play this week and took care of business like most expected them to do.

Like each of their wins this season, Minnesota used a different strategy to get a victory over Detroit on Sunday.

This time, it was the Vikings defensive line’s opportunity to shine. Their pass rush disrupted the Lions’ offense all day long and it ultimately resulted in Minnesota leaving U.S. Bank Stadium with an important win over an NFC North opponent.

The Vikings are now 5-3-1 this season and 1-0-1 in divisional matchups. Minnesota really could not afford another uncharacteristic loss this year (see Week 3 vs. Buffalo), so they did their best to make sure that didn’t happen and got the win over Detroit.

From everything that they put out on the field this week, what are the top three takeaways from the Vikings’ latest victory of the 2018 season?
