Check out the good, bad, and interesting things from the Minnesota Vikings Week 9 divisional matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Heading into Week 9, there was emphasis put into how big of a game it was for the Minnesota Vikings to defeat the Detroit Lions at home. While every game is important, it always seems to be amplified when it is a division rival.

Factoring in that five of the team’s final eight games of the season are against their NFC North counterparts, defeating Detroit became even more important. Just as important as proving the Vikings can beat the Lions at U.S. Bank Stadium, which hasn’t happened yet.

The game ended up with a final score of 24-9 with Minnesota putting on a dominating defensive display while still struggling a bit offensively, but doing enough to get the job done. The win puts the Vikings at a record of 5-3-1 and keeps them in second place in the NFC North heading into their bye with 7 games left on the schedule.

But before looking too far ahead, there was a lot going on in this Nov. 4 contest that needs to be discussed. Let’s break down the good, bad, and interesting things from the Week 9 game between the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions!
