6 Vikings storylines to watch in the second half of the season

Can the Vikings catch up to the Saints and Rams?
The Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints are currently the toast of the NFC. With both teams possessing wins over the Vikings during the first half of the year, the chance to catch them in the standings for a first-round bye in the playoffs are slim.
However, Minnesota does have the opportunity to get on their level with a strong second half.
The defense is starting to come around after struggling out of the gates and the offense should be able to take the meat off the bone with the return of Dalvin Cook and an improving offensive line.
With the Vikings having four divisional games remaining on their schedule, they have an opportunity to claim at least one postseason game at U.S. Bank Stadium in January with a strong performance.
Once in the playoffs, anything can happen and if this team gets hot at the right time (like the Philadelphia Eagles did one year ago), the struggles of the first half could be a distant memory.
