Kirk Cousins and Flip are here

One of the biggest changes that Minnesota made were replacing all three of their former starting quarterbacks and replacing them with Kirk Cousins. So far, that move seems to be paying off with a high-powered passing offense which is eighth in passing yards per game.

Not all the praise belongs with Cousins. New offensive coordinator John DeFilippo took the spot of the departing Pat Shurmur, who took a coaching promotion and is now the head coach of the New York Giants.

Both Flip and Kirk are dealing with a beat up offensive line that was struck a big blow when positional coach Tony Sparano suddenly passed away, but the coaches and players have found a way to move the ball despite these issues.

Without needing much time to acclimate to Minnesota, these two individuals have paired to become an important part of the Vikings offensive success. As the season goes on, they should continue to even get better.
