The Minnesota Vikings may be excited about the idea of making the playoffs, but they can’t ignore some of the best prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft.

With a talented roster and some excellent coaching, the Minnesota Vikings are looking to make the playoffs this year and hopefully make a deep run toward returning to the NFC Championship Game or even making a Super Bowl appearance.

However, talent can be tough to come across. With the spending the team has done in free agency over the last few offseasons and the contract extensions some key players have received recently, most of Minnesota’s acquisitions will need to come through the NFL Draft.

In addition, the tight salary cap will mean that some contributing players may need to move on from the Vikings since they won’t be able to pay a lot of the players they currently have, younger and cheaper rookie options may need to be explored.

Let’s take a look at five prospects the Minnesota Vikings should be keeping an eye on right now as they look to keep pace with the best teams in the league for many seasons to come.
