The interesting stuff from Week 11

  1. A strong shoe game. Stefon Diggs always seems to have the most awesome footwear on game day. This week, he had some amazing cleats featuring Martin Lawrence back when he had the TV show Martin. Another excellent choice from the wide receiver for game day!
  2. Avoiding social media. I hate Sunday Night Football when the Minnesota Vikings are on. This time slot is for zombies or WWE wrestling PPVs. Seriously, let’s keep Minnesota in that noon time slot or even the late afternoon game and leave those Sunday nights open for the other great stuff on TV so spoilers don’t have to be dodged!
  3. A flag for…not throwing him to the ground? Eric Wilson was in a situation where he could have thrown a Bears ball carrier forcefully to the ground and instead made a non-lewd gesture toward the sideline before walking away and was flagged. The Vikings should be getting one of those nice apology letters from the league this week after that awful call.
  4. Back-to-back. Remember how I was talking about how much I dislike Sunday Night Football? Well, we get to do it again next week! More Cris Collinsworth! More Al Michaels! More thinking that Minnesota shouldn’t be playing at this time! Hopefully, prime time is a little nicer this time.
  5. Falling behind. With this loss, the Vikings fall to 5-4-1 on the season and a game and a half behind the Bears in the NFC North. With many tough games left on the schedule, it will be tough for Minnesota to work their way back into the division title picture…or even into the playoffs.
