When it comes to putting points on the scoreboard, there is only one individual who is better than Morten Anderson. That’s not too surprising since he spent a quarter of a century as a kicker at the NFL level.

In 25 seasons, he scored a total of 2,544 points, second to only fellow kicker Adam Vinatieri. His accuracy was also on point, connecting on 79.7% of his field goal attempts and 98.8% of his extra point tries.

With the Minnesota Vikings in 2004, he was flawless on extra points and connected on 81.8% of his field goal tries during the regular season and made all of his extra points in the two playoff games that year, but missed one of his field goal attempts.

Andersen made the Pro Bowl seven times and the All-Pro First or Second Team six times while as well as the NFL All-Decade Team for the 1980s and 1990s plus being in the New Orleans Saints Ring of Honor and Hall of Fame.
