What should be expected from the Minnesota Vikings when they attempt to get a much needed victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night?
Things are much different than the last time the Minnesota Vikings took on the Green Bay Packers.
Since they tied with the Packers in Week 2, the Vikings have a new kicker, their defense is back to playing at a high level, and a rookie has earned a spot on Minnesota’s starting offensive line. Now with a 5-4-1 record, the Vikings desperately need to get a win over Green Bay on Sunday night.
In order to do so, Minnesota will have to play a lot better on offense than they did against the Chicago Bears last week. The Vikings’ offense was pretty stagnant until late in the matchup with the Bears and it turned out to be too little, too late.
With Chicago adding another win to their total on Thursday against the Detroit Lions, Minnesota badly needs a victory this week to keep ahold of the small chance they still have to win the NFC North this season.
A win over on Sunday will also increase the Vikings’ current lead over the Packers for a berth in the this year’s playoffs. Both teams could be fighting for a wild-card spot at the end of the season and the result of this week’s game could end up factoring into some tie-breaking scenarios.
So when Minnesota eventually takes the field inside U.S. Bank Stadium for their important divisional matchup on Sunday night, what are four things to expect from their performance?
