Injury report: Four Minnesota Vikings out for Week 12 vs Packers
By Adam Carlson
Who is out for Week 12 against the Packers and who is in danger of not playing? Here is the final injury report for the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 25.
The 2018 NFL season seems to be flying by, with Week 12 already underway. This week, the Minnesota Vikings are hosting their NFC North rival Green Bay Packers in front of fans at U.S. Bank Stadium.
This will be the second Sunday Night Football game in a row for the Vikings, who are looking to bounce back from a loss to the Chicago Bears last week and keep the hope of the playoffs alive at this early in the season.
For the team to win, they will need to to have their best players available and have them perform at a high level. Recently, Minnesota released their injury report for Week 12 and some players have been ruled out already.
Here is the report according to the official website of the Vikings:
MINNESOTA VIKINGS
OUT
- Chad Beebe, WR – hamstring
- Ben Gedeon, LB – concussion
- David Morgan, TE – knee
- Andrew Sendejo, S – groin
DOUBTFUL
- – none –
QUESTIONABLE
- – none –
The Vikings have been doing okay with their backup safeties, which makes Sendejo missing another week not too bad of a problem. Thankfully, Anthony Barr is making his return to the team just as another starting linebacker is set to miss some time due to injury, meaning Eric Wilson will likely get another start this week.
Meanwhile, not having blocking tight end Morgan will be a bit of a struggle. Plus, the appearance of Beebe on the injury report at midweek leading to him being out is disappointing for the young pass catcher.
The best news is that Anthony Barr is finally off the report and is set for action on Sunday.
GREEN BAY PACKERS
OUT
- Mike Daniels, DL – foot
- Nick Perry, LB – knee
DOUBTFUL
- Raven Greene, S – ankle
QUESTIONABLE
- Bashaud Breeland, CB – groin
- Kentrell Brice, S – ankle
- Tra Carson, RB – rib
- Randall Cobb, WR – hamstring
- Jimmy Graham, TE – knee/thumb
- Kevin King, CB – hamstring
- Lucas Patrick, G – concussion
Both Daniels and Perry being out are pretty big blows to the Packers defense. When factoring in the players in the secondary who are banged up and listed as questionable, this defense looks as though it could be nowhere near full strength.
Offensively, Cobb and Graham are dealing with some injuries but it looks like the Packers will be ready to roll on Sunday.
Which player not suiting up will have the biggest impact on his team? And which of the doubtful or questionable players would be the biggest loss if they can’t go? Let us know your thoughts on the Week 12 game between the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers!
