What were the main takeaways from the impressive performance by the Minnesota Vikings in their win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night?

After a quick three-and-out on their first offensive drive of the night, it seemed like the Minnesota Vikings were potentially headed for another disappointing performance on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.

But the Vikings quickly got things sorted out and put together a pair of good performances on both offense and defense on their way to a victory over the rival Packers.

With a tough stretch of opponents coming up, Sunday’s win over Green Bay was a necessary one for Minnesota to keep afloat in this season’s NFC playoff picture.

After 11 games, the Vikings are currently the fifth-seed in the NFC postseason bracket. With their victory and some other teams falling this week, Minnesota is now ahead of the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, and Washington Redskins by a half of a game in the NFC playoff standings.

The Vikings will likely need at least three wins in their final five matchups this year to earn a spot in the postseason. With only two of their remaining games taking place at home inside U.S. Bank Stadium, Minnesota certainly has their work cut out for them to earn a second straight trip to the playoffs.

But if the Vikings continue to play like they did on Sunday night, they will be able to beat almost any team that tries to stand in their way.

Looking back at their win over the Packers this week, what were the top three takeaways from Minnesota’s top notch performance?
