That Thielen guy is pretty good

After two weeks of getting triple-covered by the opposing defense, Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen got back on track against the Packers on Sunday.

Thielen hauled in eight passes for 125 yards and one touchdown during Minnesota’s win over Green Bay. For the Vikings’ receiver, it was his ninth game this season with at least 100 yards, breaking the team’s all-time single-season record previously held by Randy Moss.

It took a little while for Thielen to get involved on Sunday (no catches until midway through the second quarter), but a jaw-dropping reception over two Packers defenders was all he needed to get going.

With his performance on Sunday, the Minnesota receiver increased his 2018 totals to 93 catches (a new career-high) for 1,138 yards and eight touchdowns. Thielen’s 93 receptions this season are currently tops in the NFL.

Despite his success though, the talented Vikings pass catcher is not about to brag. Following Sunday’s win, Thielen told reporters that he thought he, “could have played a lot better.”
