The Minnesota Vikings are currently in second place in their division, but they still have a good chance to come away with the NFC North title this season.

After defeating the Cincinnati Bengals in a Week 14 matchup last season, the Minnesota Vikings captured their second NFC North title since Mike Zimmer became the team’s head coach in 2014.

This year, the Vikings were picked by many to finish atop their division once again. But after 11 games, Minnesota is currently sitting a game and half behind the Chicago Bears for first place in the NFC North.

Now is not the time for the Vikings to panic though. They still have five matchups left on their schedule this year, including a showdown against the Bears in Week 17 that could decide who ends up winning the division.

After coming up short in their game with Chicago two weeks ago, Minnesota got back on track with a win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

The victory not only keeps the Vikings in a good position for a playoff spot, but it allows them to still have a chance at winning the NFC North this season too. Something Minnesota should be able to accomplish.

So what are the four reasons that explain why the Vikings, and not the Bears, will still finish atop their division in 2018?
