Diggs and Thielen are unstoppable

Last year, there was a debate among those who enjoy the game of football about whether or not Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs were one of the best wide receiver duos in the league. This season, there is no debate.

In 2018, Diggs and Thielen are on pace to combine for over 250 catches, 2,800 yards, and 20 touchdowns. The two pass catchers have the chance to become the first Vikings receivers to both gain over 1,000 yards in a season since Cris Carter and Randy Moss did it in 2000.

The majority of Minnesota’s opponents this year just haven’t found a solution to stop both Diggs and Thielen at the same time. An opposing defense may be able to stop one of them, but then the other is usually able to take advantage of their increase in one-on-one coverage.

With zero games remaining on this season’s schedule against a top 10 pass defense, the Vikings’ two lethal pass catchers should be able to continue their success over the final five weeks of the regular season and help lead the team to a second straight NFC North title.
