Vikings get off to a hot start

Any team that has defeated the Patriots in the recent past will agree that striking first on the scoreboard is a huge key to coming out with a win.

This season has been no different. During games in which they have trailed after the first quarter this year, New England is just 1-3.

On the flip-side, during the matchups in which the Vikings are leading after one quarter of play, they are 4-0 this season. So basically, if Minnesota is going to leave the Patriots’ home stadium with a win on Sunday, leading after the first quarter is certainly going to make the task a lot easier to accomplish.

With this in mind, expect the Vikings to put at least 10 points up on the scoreboard in the first quarter against New England and go into the second quarter with a lead of at least three points.
