The Minnesota Vikings are getting healthier heading into the final third of the season but will need to be ready for Week 13 vs the New England Patriots.
Week 13 is finally upon fans and the New England Patriots are hosting the Minnesota Vikings in what should be one of the best battles of the week and a tough test for both franchises looking ahead to possible playoff berths.
Minnesota hasn’t been the healthiest lately, but thankfully they will be closer to full strength this week than they have been in previous weeks, with more names being removed from the reports while some others have shown up.
Let’s take a look at the injury reports according to the official Vikings website:
Minnesota Vikings
OUT
- Chad Beebe, WR – hamstring
- David Morgan, TE – knee
DOUBTFUL
- – none –
QUESTIONABLE
- Mackensie Alexander, CB – knee
- Stefon Diggs, WR – knee
- Xavier Rhodes, CB – hamstring
- Brandon Zylstra, WR – (no reason given)
The good news for Minnesota here is that the list of players who will be out is getting much smaller. That might have something to do with Andrew Sendejo moving to Injured Reserve, but other players are slowly creeping their way off the list.
Still, the Vikings will be missing the blocking of Morgan during this game but have done decently with help from Kyle Rudolph and better play on the offensive line.
However, the list of questionable players includes some big names. If Diggs, Alexander, or Rhodes can’t go, each of them could make the day long for the Vikings as they face off against a top-tier NFL team.
New England Patriots
OUT
- Dwayne Allen, TE – knee
DOUBTFUL
- – none –
QUESTIONABLE
- – none –
Interestingly enough, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Julian Edelman were all on the report earlier in the week but were all able to be ready to go on Sunday and completely removed from the report.
For the most part, Vikings fans should assume that the Patriots will be ready to go and not have limitations in any phase of their game when they take on Minnesota this week.
How much do you think the Minnesota Vikings will miss the blocking of David Morgan or the potential in Chad Beebe? And which of the questionable players would be the biggest loss? Let us know your opinions in the comments!
