Dalvin Cook

The debate about Cook being a bust has raged on throughout the season as he missed a good chunk with a hamstring injury. Although frustration has mounted with the second-year running back, there is no doubt that when he is on the field, he can be a game-changer on offense.

As mentioned in the introduction, Cook is currently fifth on the team in receptions despite playing in just six games this season. His dual-threat ability also jump-started the Vikings’ stagnant screen game last week including a 26-yard touchdown that weaved through the Packer defense.

Having a legitimate receiving threat out of the backfield may be the one thing that can benefit the Vikings offense going forward.

The ground game of the Minnesota Vikings will have to improve (Cook is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry this season), but if there is enough for opposing defenses to pay attention, it could drop the safeties down and continue to create big plays for Diggs and Thielen down the stretch.
