Offensive MVP – honorable mention

Although they aren’t the most valuable players on offense, there are some players who put forward some great performances vs the Patriots defense.

Stefon Diggs, wide receiver

With the Patriots focused on holding Adam Thielen in check, Stefon Diggs stepped up in a big way. Only five passes were thrown his direction during the game, but he managed to haul in every single one of them.

Not only that, but he accumulated 49 yards on those five catches to average almost ten yards per grab and lead the team in receiving yards, making him a clutch target for Kirk Cousins to look for on plays when the team needed first downs.

Kyle Rudolph, tight end

Much like Diggs, Kyle Rudolph wasn’t targeted a lot during the game but he made the most of the opportunities he was given. He caught all three of his targets for a total of 38 yards, the second most on the team.

But it wasn’t about the three catches but more about the degree of difficulty. Two of Rudolph’s catches were in traffic and were highly contested, including one along the sideline that was as close to a catch/non-catch as fans have seen lately.
