The Minnesota Vikings need a win on Monday night over the Seattle Seahawks in order to keep their 2018 playoff chances alive.

Prior to the start of the 2018 season, not many predicted that the Minnesota Vikings would be fighting for their playoff lives by the time December rolled around. The possibility of the Vikings missing this year’s postseason was pretty much out of the question for most before the beginning of the season.

But here they are in Week 14 with a 6-5-1 record and needing to probably win at least three of their final four games to earn a spot in the playoffs for the second straight year.

Minnesota’s first of their final four matchups this season will take place on the road against the Seattle Seahawks, who also happen to be fighting for one of the final spots in the NFC’s postseason bracket.

Getting a win in Seattle is certainly not going to be easy for the Vikings this week. Especially since it’s a primetime matchup, something that seems to make it even more difficult to defeat the Seahawks on their home field.

Since Pete Carroll became the team’s head coach in 2010, Seattle is 15-2 in home games that take place after 7:00 p.m. ET. During that same time period, Minnesota is 4-12 in primetime road matchups.

Clearly, the odds are not in the Vikings’ favor. But coming out with a win over the Seahawks this week is still a very real possibility for Minnesota.

When they eventually take the field in Seattle on Monday night, what are four things to expect from the Vikings’ performance?
