Offensive MVP

Dalvin Cook, running back

With the passing game mostly in shambles, Dalvin Cook took on the majority of the work on the ground. Dominating the running back split with 13 carries to the three rushing attempts from Latavius Murray.

On the ground, Cook’s 13 runs resulted in 55 yards for an average of 4.2 yards per carry. It’s kind of surprising that he has been able to gain yards after contact, but the power, acceleration, and speed of Cook seem to work well behind the offensive line.

Cook also tied for the most passes thrown his way, getting seven targets along with Adam Thielen. The running back caught five of those passes for 28 yards and the only Vikings touchdown of the day.

When Dalvin Cook gets 18 touches for 83 yards and a score, odds are that the ball should be in his hands more often.
