Minnesota Vikings MVPs: Week 14 vs. the Seattle Seahawks
By Adam Carlson
Defensive MVP
Holton Hill, cornerback
It’s strange that the Vikings have used three first-round draft picks on cornerbacks but it was the undrafted free agent who was named the MVP from this game. Sure, Trae Waynes is injured and Mike Hughes is on IR, but Hill stood up exceptionally well in this game…even better than Xavier Rhodes.
Wilson only threw 20 total passes in the game, with six of them being thrown at Holton Hill. Of those attempts, only three of them were caught for 26 yards with the other three falling incomplete.
Hill broke up one pass while forcing two others to be uncatchable by using the sideline to his advantage. The way he used his body, his surroundings, and technique was like that of a seasoned pro during this game.
Even if Waynes is forced to miss more time, Minnesota should feel good about having Holton Hill ready to fill in against the Miami Dolphins next week.
