Overall impression vs. Seahawks

Oh, boy. Where to start with this mess. During a game where the Minnesota Vikings needed a win to separate themselves from the Wild Card hopefuls and hope to maybe close in on the Chicago Bears in the NFC North, the team completely falls apart offensively.

It is very impressive that the Vikings defense was able to contain the Seahawks offense and keep Minnesota in the game as long as they did, but this game made fans question many of the decisions the franchise has made over the last few years.

Hiring John DeFilippo, giving Kirk Cousins a massive contract, spending money on Mike Remmers, and other moves to ensure the offense could compete right now look like they may not have been the right way to improve after making the NFC Championship game last season.

But a lot of credit has to go to the Seattle Seahawks and their loud fans. That home field advantage combined with a powerful rushing attack and some great pieces on defense make them a squad nobody should want to face off against in the playoffs.

As a whole, this will be a game which fans of defense will appreciate while those who enjoy offense will walk away with their head in their hands. Once again, the Minnesota Vikings were unable to put together a complete game, and that has to be frustrating for a team with so much potential.
