Ever since the Vikings returned from their bye in Week 11, something has seemed a bit off with Cousins.

During his first nine games of the season, the Minnesota quarterback threw for 17 touchdowns,  just five interceptions, and averaged 298.3 passing yards per matchup. In the four games since the Vikings’ bye, Cousins has seen his passing yard average drop to 253.3 per matchup while throwing for seven scores and tossing four picks.

Monday against the Seahawks was arguably his worst game of the year. Cousins completed just 60.6 percent of his passes for 208 yards and one touchdown. He also fumbled for the ninth time this season which ended up getting scooped up by Seattle and retuned for a score.

There were way too many moments on Monday night where Cousins looked lost. It likely had to do with the Seahawks’ double-covering Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs all night, but the Minnesota quarterback has to do better at looking elsewhere if his two favorite targets aren’t open.

The Vikings are going to need Cousins to get out his funk very quickly if they are going to have any chance at making the playoffs this season.
