Honorable mention – Defensive MVP

This was a great game from the Minnesota Vikings defense, who allowed only one touchdown and sacked the quarterback nine times on the day while defending five total passes. While there was one hiccup on a long touchdown run to start the second half, it was mostly a dominating performance.

Danielle Hunter, defensive end

Any time a player can get two sacks in a game, it will be a game changer. Danielle Hunter ended the day with five total tackles, four of them solo with one tackle for a loss outside of the two sacks on Ryan Tannehill. Hunter is tied for second in sacks this season behind only Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald.

Mackensie Alexander, cornerback

This was a rough game for the Dolphins wide receivers. They caught only five total passes on the day for 59 yards and coverage by the cornerbacks were a good reason for that. Mackensie Alexander had three tackles on the day with all of them being solo while defending two passes and getting a sack on the quarterback.

Eric Kendricks, linebacker

Showing up all over the field, Eric Kendricks was second on the team with six total tackles (three solo). He also added a pass defense and a sack on the day, showing many of the things he offers the Vikings. Whether he was in run support, in coverage, or going after the quarterback, he got results!
