Minnesota Vikings Week 17 Preview: Now or never vs. the Chicago Bears

Prediction

Even if the Bears do plan on sitting their starters at some point during Sunday’s game, there is no way the Vikings can bank on Chicago mailing it in. The Bears have an elite defense that could make things miserable in a hurry and if Minnesota comes out flat like they did against Detroit last week, this game could get ugly in a hurry.

But the Vikings are a different team at home (unless they’re playing Buffalo) and with that energy behind them, Minnesota can likely get off to a fast start and if that happens, Chicago could wave the white flag and prepare for a playoff rubber match next weekend.

I am in no way comfortable in predicting this, but I think the Vikings get the win and head to the playoffs.
