Calling Adam Thielen

After topping the charts during the first half of 2018, Adam Thielen has clearly disappointed in the season’s second bracket.

Although I’m very happy to say Thielen is a Viking, this guy’s no Cris Carter. If a simple zone adjustment is enough to erase him from game, he doesn’t deserve to be an All-Pro.

Love the guy’s heart, but Minnesota needs output. In the last month, Thielen has averaged 49 yards a game–and some of those yards were into the loose teeth of an end of game zone defense.

The relationship between himself and Kirk Cousins needs to take a dangerous turn. Cousins needs to give Thielen a chance to break this game open. That means putting the ball in harm’s way.

Vic Fangio is probably going to shade his coverage towards Stefon Diggs on Sunday. Fangio is aware that Diggs likes the national stage and will be looking for his first 1,000 yard season.

Diggs is the type of player to show up in a big game and the Bears have seen him dominate their secondary in the past.

This may give Adam Thielen his chance to find his own star again.
