Decide what to do with Anthony Barr

If you noticed there was one name absent from the extension list, you would be correct. That’s because there is still no signal on what the Vikings will do with linebacker Anthony Barr this offseason.

The four-time Pro Bowler will be a big name on the market in free agency this year. But with his role in a 4-3 defense as opposed to a 3-4 edge rusher, Barr may not be able to get the big money he wants from Minnesota.

Barr’s contract year was inconsistent to say the least, but he remains a crucial part of what Mike Zimmer wants to do on defense. If the Vikings decide to keep the linebacker, they’ll be getting a 27-year-old player in his prime that could do bigger things down the road.
