Brian O’Neill, Holton Hill, and Mike Hughes’ 2019 Resolutions:

Build off rookie years

It wasn’t all bad for the 2018 Vikings as they were able to get some immediate contributors from this years’ rookie class.

Even though Hughes was lost to a torn ACL in Week 6, he showed flashes of what’s to come, including a pick-six against San Francisco in Week 1.

Brian O’Neill also took a big first step in his career when he supplanted Rashod Hill as the starting right tackle and surprised in what many thought could be a redshirt year for the raw offensive lineman.

Holton Hill also caught on quickly in 2018 despite being undrafted and he could end up being a steal if his previous issues don’t come back to haunt him.

While the Vikings would have liked to have gotten more out of their later-round picks, hitting on these players could be key down the road. If these three can take another step forward in 2019, it would be big help for a team that could lose some key pieces this year due to salary cap restrictions.
