As they enter the offseason, who are a few of the potential candidates that could end up becoming the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings in 2019.

Prior to the 2018 season, there were some who thought that the Minnesota Vikings would end up needing a new offensive coordinator once their year of football came to end.

However, most were thinking it would be due to John DeFilippo taking a job as a head coach somewhere else, not because the Vikings decided to let DeFilippo go before their season even came to an end.

But that is what went down in 2018 for Minnesota and now they are left wondering who will step in to be their offensive coordinator for next season. One should imagine that the Vikings and head coach Mike Zimmer will take their time in making sure they find the right person who they believe can lead their offense in 2019.

There are number of potential candidates currently available for Minnesota to meet with over the next few weeks. Some were even employed by the team in 2018.

When Zimmer and the Vikings conduct their search, expect it to feature a bunch of candidates that like to build their offense around the running game and others who have some sort of link to the team’s head coach.

Of all the possible people that are currently available, which five are likely among the top candidates to be Minnesota’s offensive coordinator in 2019?
