K.J. Wright – LB
This offseason, Anthony Barr’s contract with the Vikings is set to expire. Barr has said that he wouldn’t mind returning to Minnesota, but it’s unclear how the team actually feels about bringing the young linebacker back in 2019.
Especially if his price tag becomes too high.
If the two sides decide to part ways, the Vikings could look into adding Wright as a nice replacement for Barr on their defense.
As a member of the Seattle Seahawks for the last eight years, the veteran linebacker has been a starter on some of the NFL’s most talented defenses of the recent past. During his career, Wright has excelled as a run-stopper and he has also done well in pass coverage.
He has only appeared in five games of the 2018 season due to a knee injury, but the 29-year-old linebacker has never really missed any significant time in his career because of injuries.
If Wright ends up leaving the Seahawks and his price is not too astronomical, Minnesota should think long and hard about adding him to their defense for 2019.
