Kyle Love, defensive tackle

The Vikings will have trouble bringing back Sheldon Richardson and Tom Johnson, so they may need to look to free agency or the draft for an interior defensive lineman to pair with Linval Joseph. One player they should keep an eye on is Kyle Love.

At 32 years old, Love has played for four different teams in his nine NFL seasons but has found himself a home with the Panthers since 2014 where he was particularly good at plugging up the middle as a run defender.

According to Pro Football Focus, he earned the best overall grade of his career with a 76.8 mark. His 80.4 grade as a run stopper should be enough for a lot of teams to watch him for at least a backup or potential starter.

An unrestricted free agent, Love had a cap hit of $1,300,000 with Carolina last year and will likely make approximately the same this year in a strong group of defensive tackles in free agency. He could be a major bargain to hold the team over until they either draft or find a long-term replacement.
