Jason Myers, kicker

It would be great to have the Minnesota Vikings find some consistency at kicker, but the cycle could keep on going with the team likely looking to save some money by not bringing Dan Bailey back and looking for an undrafted free agent or discount free agent.

Jason Meyers had a good season in 2018, connecting on 91.7% of his field goals and 91% of his extra point tries. Those numbers should be able to give teams some faith in him to be a consistent kicker for many years to come.

Since he will be turning 28 years old for the 2019 NFL season, he should be able to stop bouncing around the league after hitting two arena football teams and three NFL teams since 2014 and find a home with a team looking at him as a long-term answer to their kicking problem.

Even better, Myers only had a $705,000 hit against the salary cap last year for the Jets and could be under a million dollars once again. Pairing him with punter/holder Matt Wile and long snapper Kevin McDermott could finally give the team a solid special teams grouping they have been looking for.
