Round 6 Pick 1: Keelan Doss, wide receiver – UC-Davis

With Aldrick Robinson a free agent and rumors of the Raiders being interested trading for Laquon Treadwell, adding competition to the receiving corp would be smart for the Vikings. Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs should return as a dynamic duo with Chad Beebe, Jeff Badet, and Brandon Zylstra fighting for spots.

Doss is a six-foot-three pass catcher weighing 209 pounds. He is UCD’s all-time leading receiver in terms of receptions, receiving yards, and 100-yard games and is a repeat American Football Coaches Association All-American. He leaves the NCAA with 274 catches for 3,411 yards and 24 touchdowns in his for years.

Round 6 Pick 2: L.J. Scott, running back – Michigan State

Last offseason, the Vikings were able to talk Latavius Murray into taking a pay cut in order to be the team’s backup at running back and the deal made him a free agent at the end of the 2018 NFL season. Now, the team might be looking for more depth and competition at the position.

L.J. Scott may not be one of the top prospects this year, but he should be an interesting one. He may not be a bell-cow back, but he is a complementary player who can run the ball (4.7 yards per carry) and has a nose for the end zone (27 NCAA touchdowns). His bigger frame should help his durability at the pro level.
