Kevin Byard – S (Tennessee Titans)

Convincing the Titans to deal Byard is likely going to be extremely hard for the Vikings. But it doesn’t hurt to just ask if he’s available, right?

A third-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the young safety has been a very pleasant surprise during his time with Tennessee. In 2017, Byard led the league with eight interceptions and earned a First-Team All-Pro selection.

This past season, he had another impressive outing for the Titans. In 16 games, Byard finished with 90 tackles, four interceptions, eight pass breakups, and two sacks.

With Tennessee having over $43 million in cap space this year, an extension from his current team is likely what the 25-year-old safety is looking at. Especially since his current contract expires in 2020 and he’s only due to make around $1.1 million next season.

But if the Titans and Byard can’t agree to a new deal, perhaps they will look into sending him elsewhere. And if that ends up being the case, Minnesota would love to add him to their defense and pair him with fellow All-Pro safety Harrison Smith.
